Today's entry would be quite a long one. Went to Suntec City yesterday with Mummy. First we went to Sizzler for lunch. Guess what? I saw Eddie working there. Eddie from Peirce 4E4. He still looks the same. Anyway, Mummy and I shared fish and chips and chicken between us. The fish seemed to look smaller compared to last time. Fries were great. Also had salad and ice cream.

After lunch, we went to an optical shop to repair my specs. Cos the left lens came out the day before. After that, we went window shopping. Then we went to Carrefour to shop for groceries.

After that, we went to the convention tower. We saw people crowding there. We realised that they were actually waiting for the red carpet segment of Singapore Hit Awards. We decided to wait too. I think we waited for about 45 mins but still no stars. So we decided to go straight to the convention hall instead. Besides those selfish teenagers dunno how to give way. Even if I stayed there, I can't see much cos those people were blocking my view.

So we waited outside the hall. Another half an hour of waiting. The event was supposed to start at 7pm but we were only allowed to go in at 7.30pm. Initially, I was seated at the extreme left of the hall. The Sistic people said that was the only place for me. The view was horrid from my seat. The bonus was, I could see all the stars arriving from the side! Though it was from a distance. Zhou Chuanxiong was first in line. I thought it was Energy so I screamed out loud. Wasted my breath. Haha... But I did see Energy. Still so cute. Haha... Also saw S.H.E(they look much better in person esp Selina), Stefanie Sun(her complexion was bad but she's pretty), F.I.R(The lead singer Faye is very pretty), Wang Lee Hom(OMG! Biggest eye candy of the night! So handsome!), Faye Wong(still the usual ice queen but she's tall and really has star quality), Fish Leong(she looks prettier in person), Huang Yida(he really looks feminine), Jolin Tsai(I know I'm being biased but still don't like her), Tanya Chua(looks better in person too) etc.

After that the ceremony started. Machi sang first. Then a policeman asked me and my mum if we wanted to go in front to watch. So we moved in front. Though it was still at the side but at least we had a much better view. Just next to the stage. Kudos to the police officer! Haha... And guess what? That was the best spot to watch cos throughout the night, I could see the singers stream past me cos they had to pass by that area to go backstage. Energy and S.H.E streamed past me dunno-how-many-times. Guess what? Energy's Shuwei waved back at me when I waved at them! Was soooo thrilled at that point. Also got to see other stars walk past me.

The atmosphere was great. It's just different from watcbing the show on TV. Could see many parts that most likely would be edited. Like the interviews with the stars. This was the first time I saw so many singers at one time.

Big winners include S.H.E, Tanya and Energy. S.H.E won 5 awards. 2 were for Top Ten Hits Super Star and Ta Hai Shi Bu Dong. They also won Most Popular Group(Gold), Best Perfomance on the Charts and Most Popular Video for Bo Si Mao. Tanya won all the song-writing awards for her hit Wu Di Dong. Energy won 3 awards i.e. 2 awards for their two hits Missing You and Mo Nian Mo Yue Mou Yi Tian and Most Popular Group(Silver).

Best Newcomer went to F.I.R. Most Popular Male and Female Singer went to Jay and Jolin. Wang Lee Hom won Most Popular Male Singer in Asia Pacific and one Top 10 Hits award. Faye Wong won Special Achievement, Best Female Vocalist and Most Popular Female Singer in Asia Pac. Mayday won Best Group. Stefanie Sun won Best Local Singer for the 4th year running, thus breaking a record.

There are many things which I'm too lazy to mention. Just watch the delayed telecast of the show on Channel 8 tonight at 7pm. All I can say is I totally enjoyed the 3 hour show. Lotsa eye and ear candy. Sang along with Energy, S.H.E and Stefanie Sun. Was so fun. Definitely a memorable night.
