It's been so long since I last blogged here. Today is the last day of my attachment and I brought some X'mas tree-shaped cookie for my colleagues. Guess what? Cheryl and Soo Gek treated us to chicken wings for lunch! Haha... They said it was to mark my last day here. So sweet of them.

Going to Compass Point after work to meet Mummy. Looks like I'll have to skip dinner or just have something light since I ate such fattening food for lunch. Haha...

Just came back from fire drill at TM Inc. Interesting experience though. Didn't know there's this long slope outside the gate for people on wheelchairs to go downstairs in case of emergency. I hated the hot sun outside though. Luckily it was only for 5 minutes. Overall it was a fire drill with a difference.

On another note, I finally bought clothes for my birthday. Went to VivoCity yesterday after my medical appointment at NUH. Gosh. It was so huge. And I love the glittery floor tiles. I bought two tops from Forever 21. Will wear the black top on Nov 18. Food Republic was a unique dining experience. It had a 1930s theme. The food was great. Mummy and I had fish and chips.

Just a short entry before Soo Gek's surprise birthday party in the office. Soo Gek is a very nice and helpful admin assistant in TM Inc. So we planned a surprise for her since it's her birthday. She should be back anytime soon along with Ian, Cheryl and Tarun who 'lured' her out for lunch so that the rest of us could make the arrangements for the party later. Hope everything turns out as planned.

Speaking about birthdays, yesterday was Mummy's birthday. We had fruit cake from Sweet Secrets. Wasn't as nice as the usual mango cake which was sold out but as long as Mummy is happy, it's fine.

Lastly, I finally got my paycheck just now. Haha...

Haiz. The Internet connection in the office is a bit cranky. It was down for a few hours yesterday afternoon and for one hour this morning. It's back now but it's super slow and I can't check my email. Surprisingly I could access Blogger immediately. Strange...

Anyway I went to Suntec after work yesterday for Japanese buffet at Kuishin-bo with Mummy and Auntie Grace. I reached there at 6.30pm and Mummy was still on her way there. So I 'strolled' around. This time I decided to skip Carrefour and toured the rest of the first level. I browsed around at a push-cart stall selling necklaces. Then I passed by the escalator and ended up at a section filled with food counters and outlets. I went all the way to Sakae Sushi then turned back to the other end (near Delight Corner) of Carrefour (I also dunno how I ended up there).

Mummy arrived at 7pm and we went into Carrefour to buy some stuff. Then we proceeded to Kuishin-bo. Along the way we met Auntie Grace and the three of us went to the restaurant together. It was Ladies' Night so the price was slightly cheaper than usual. The food was good. The seafood was very fresh. I loved the prawns, crab and baby lobster. Of course I also enjoyed my favourite tempura. We also had yakitori, sashimi, chawanmushi, karaage and many more. The dessert was delicious as well but by that time I already felt quite full and couldn't really enjoy the dessert. There was this odd dessert which was like strawberry hidden inside a piece of chocolate. The chocolate was sweet but after a while, the sour taste of the strawberry surfaced.

Sorry but I'm not very good at describing food. But I think it's a nice place to go if you love Japanese cuisine and if you don't mind eating a bit more. In my case, I felt I ate a bit too much. Maybe it's because ours was a small group. I think it's better to go for buffets in a big group. But nevertheless, I enjoyed the dinner.

After dinner, we still had some time to browse around as the taxi hadn't arrived yet. Most shops were closed by that time but Mini Toons was still open. Guess what I saw?
The stuffed toy pig from Korean drama《我叫金三顺》! They only had medium size left. Actually we had reservations about buying it as it cost $19.90 but the salesgirl was really friendly and helpful and her service attitude was excellent. And she said all branches have run out of stock for the small size. We were the only customers in the shop then as it was near closing time but the salesgirl was very patient and still served us willingly. We kinda felt obliged to buy something and didn't see anything else that caught my eye. So we decided to get the pig.

After that we went outside the tower to wait for the taxi which arrived at 10.45pm. We dropped Auntie Grace off at the bus stop before heading home. We reached home before 11.30pm.

I thought I would feel tired after a long day outside but surprisingly I was wide awake until 2am. I watched TV throughout. I'm glad I managed to stay awake as Energy appeared in the last part of《娱乐百分百》. It was some cooking contest and they had to prepare dishes with bananas as the main ingredient. This is in conjunction with their album title《猩人类》. "猩猩" means "gorilla" and gorillas eat bananas (if I'm not wrong).

Anyway the clip was quite lame and funny. Can't remember the exact dishes they cooked. 阿弟 cooked something that consisted of beer, ice cream and of course, bananas, I think. Anyway he won the contest. 书伟 cooked curry using bananas. Not sure what it would taste like. Haha... 坤达's dish consisted of yoghurt, bananas and dunno what else. Sorry but I can't recall the details as I was too busy laughing while watching the programme.

While waiting for my employer to send me the template for the next updating task, I shall spend some time blogging on Singapore Idol Final Showdown and Results Show.

Let me begin by congratulating Hady for winning the title of SI2. Honestly, I felt that this time was a tough competition between Jon and Hady. While Hady had the stronger set of vocals between the two, Jon had more charisma. So it was really up to Singapore to decide. I was fine with either guy winning as I felt both were deserving finalists. Both contestants were on par during the performance show except for the winner's single You Give Me Wings(by the way, I preferred I Dream), which suited Hady's vocals much better and therefore gave him an edge over Jon. Jon's rendition of that song was rather monotonous due to his limited vocal range. So yeah, that's about all I have to say about the performance show.

As for last night's Results Show, it wasn't as exciting as I expected. Taufik started the show quite well with I Dream. As mentioned earlier, it's a much better song than You Give Me Wings. But if my ears weren't playing tricks with me, did Taufik go a bit off-key at the beginning? Was there something wrong with his earpiece? Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the song.

Nothing much to say about Electrico's performance as I'm not into local English music so let's skip that part. The rest of the Top 12 performed one by one. Norman actually sounded quite good. Too bad he wasn't likeable enough to advance further into the competition. Jay sounded good with No Promises. As usual, Paul and Joakim were the weaker singers. No comments about the rest.

Tanya sang Wake Me Up When September Ends. No doubt her vocals were good but the song was a tad boring for the show. Rahimah Rahim(the legend, not the contestant)lived up to her name with her performance.

As for Energy, actually I wanted to hear them sing 爱失控. They sang 爱情风向球 instead. I guess it's because 爱失控 is too solemn for the occasion. Wasn't their best performance for sure. They can do much better than that. Maybe they didn't have enough time to rehearse as they just flew in yesterday afternoon. It clearly didn't reflect their true ability. But I must give them credit for attempting an English song Stand By Me, albeit with the help of the 2 finalists. Although they still have lotsa room for improvement in terms of their standard of English, it was a commendable effort. They should consider taking up English classes to brush up on the language and try singing in English again next time. Maybe they could do even better.

Was busy the whole morning trying to complete the webpage which was left half-done yesterday. Thank God I managed to finish it but not before several 'scares'(at one point, I thought I screwed up the whole thing and had to redo, but thank God it was just a scare). Then I encountered problems while trying to download Winzip. The process terminated after what seemed like ages. So I tried downloading the program at another website and it worked. Phew! Just emailed the stuff to Jialun. Hope it's acceptable.

Not sure if I have anything else to do for the rest of the day. Anyway, enough about work. Looking forward to Singapore Idol result show tonight. The final 2 contenders would be revealed. Based on last night's performance, I think Hady and Jonathan deserve to go through. Jasmine was a disappointment. Maybe she was too stressed but she didn't give her best shot. What a pity. Was totally blown away by her performance last week and was expecting a better performance by her this week. And she's the most improved contestant. Besides, it would be nice to see a gal win the title for once. If only this week was Judges' Choice. I felt they chose great songs for the contestants last week. Whatever happens, a big round of applause for the Top 3 for making this far.

I remember blogging about the show every week during Season One. I guess I lacked the 'inspiration' and time to do so this time round. So shall do a recap since I'm free at the moment.

I admit that the show was a disaster in the initial stage and I wasn't very interested in watching at first. Like Ken(or was it Dick?) said, the contestants seemed as if they were waiting to be eliminated. But things seemed to have picked up quite a bit halfway through. I think it was during R&B week that the competition really heated up. Even Joakim showed slight improvement that week, which also happened to be his last show.

Speaking of Joakim, I know it's too late to say this but I really admire this guy for being strong throughout all the controversy and insults thrown at him on and off the show. And he's only 18. To be honest, his boyish looks were the main attraction for me initially but eventually it was his perseverance(though some might say thick skin)that impressed me. Despite his lack of singing talent(he has a nice voice but he still paled in comparison to the others), he just wanted to perform and do what he enjoyed most. Yet like Jerry Ong from Season One, he became the 'public enemy' of many people out there. People who don't vote enough for their favourites and blame him for staying for so long. That's human nature for you. Whatever it is, I hope Joakim will brush up on his vocals or try something else if he really wants to be in this industry.

Enough about the contestants. Let's talk about the judges. Can be quite sickening to watch sometimes. Jacintha seemed to be half-drunk in most of the episodes. Guess she should just stick to singing. Ken is still the best judge. Straightforward and honest yet kind enough to encourage the ousted contestant every week. Flo keeps disagreeing with Dick, intentional or not, I dunno.

As for the hosts, I know many forumers have been debating about them. I still prefer Gurmit. Although he stumbles on his words, his jokes never fail to crack me up. Can tell he really gets along well with the Idols. Daniel isn't too bad either if not for that 'classic' moment when he kept forcing Nurul's sobbing sis to comment on the viewers' choice to eliminate Nurul. I know that's his job but that wasn't a nice thing to do at all.

Things that can be improved if there's Season 3

1. Drop Jacintha from the judges' panel

2. Limit the number of calls/SMSes to one vote per telephone number. I think this will reflect the real popularity of the contestants

3. Judges should think hard before sending anyone through the auditions and not start slamming the poor contestants and reproach the voters when it's too late.

My employer has finally installed the Dreamweaver program required for the project. He'll email me the related info for the task. Basically I just have to update the info on the website. Shouldn't be a problem.

Looks like I'm gonna waste my first week of attachment just like that. Was supposed to start on the project today as Jialun had already sent me the info and template. Then he came in just now to install Dreamweaver but it seems that his thumb drive had problems and he couldn't get it installed. He said he might pass a copy of the CD-ROM to Cheryl so that I can install the program myself. If not then he'll come again on Monday. Great...

So meanwhile I'm reading the Excel file with the info that I need to update for the webpage. Can't imagine stoning here for the rest of the week. I mean, it's nice to laze around and surf the Net but I kinda feel guilty about it. I'm here to learn, not to laze around. And it's a waste of my cab fare. Haiz. What to do?

And I had to miss watching Energy on 《娱乐百分百》 yesterday evening. Wanted to watch the repeat telecast at 1am but when I turned to Channel U, it was something else. I guessed they changed the time or something. By then I was too tired to wait so I gave up the idea of watching. It was 《粉丝同乐会》. I read about it on their official website and the fans were talking about how funny it was. Haiz.

So I still have 3 1/2 more hours to go before I knock off. Shall try to digest the info in the Excel document so that it would be easier when I really get down to doing the actual work.

I'm posting for the 2nd time today. One more hour till I knock off. A guy named Jialun came to the office before lunch to brief me on the project I'm supposed to do. Basically his company is dealing with web design for clients and I'm supposed to help out with the updating of a travel website. It kinda works on a weekly basis. That means I do different parts of the project each week. Need to brush up on CSS and use Dreamweaver to do the project. Should be fun.

But he will only give me the info and templates on Wednesday. So meanwhile I'll look up on CSS tutorials online. Hope I do a good job.

I'm at Teach Me office now. From today onwards, I'll be doing attachment here for the next 3 months. I still dunno what I'm supposed to do. Waiting for further instructions in the afternoon. People here seem friendly though. Hoping for the best.

Meanwhile, Mummy got me Energy's latest album last Wednesday. Listened twice already. I love the pics in the lyrics booklet. As for the songs, I love the ballads 愛失控,最好 and 不在乎有沒有以後. 坤達 wrote the lyrics for 愛失控. Rather surprised by his songwriting ability. It's a good song. 書偉 wrote the lyrics for 無賴, 虛假遊戲 and 最好. I find his lyrics more humorous. As for 阿弟, apparently his compositions were rejected. What a pity. Never mind.

They also attempted rock this time round. 秒殺 is a collaborative effort with 五月天. The lyrics are interesting though the song is a little noisy. 漂浮的謊言 is a slow rock ballad. Quite refreshing.

Just got discharged from NUH yesterday after a 10 day stay. Developed high fever on 19/7 and was admitted in the wee hours of 20/7. All because of a pressure sore on my left foot that caused an infection hence the fever. So I had to be warded for observation.

It's been 10 years since I was last warded for the same problem. I think the infection was more serious this time. Underwent a minor op to clear up the wound. And I still need to go back for outpatient treatment for the next few days and on Wed and Sat for the subsequent weeks. Cos I need antibiotic jabs for one month to fully recover. So they inserted a line on my right arm so that Mummy can administer the medication at home for the following month. Now I must learn to use my left hand cos it's tough to bend my right arm with that stupid thing. Need to be very careful to avoid complications. Haiz.

And I'm on MC until 4/8 so I need to defer my Cost Accounting test till next week. Also need to go back for makeup classes as I missed the last 2 lessons while I was warded.

Nothing much to say about my hospitalisation as it was super boring. It was a good excuse to slack and be pampered by Mummy who stayed with me throughout the whole 'ordeal' but it got boring soon cos there was no TV as I stayed in a B2 class ward due to financial constraint. Luckily I brought my discman and radio. So most of the time was spent sleeping or reading when the nurses didn't disturb me.

Actually I have a lot to say but I guess the medication is making me tired and I can't think properly. I'll just end this entry by thanking those who visited me in hospital: Mummy's cousins Uncle Kong and Uncle George and my Cedar pals Cloud and MS.

P/S: I won't be online much for the next month cos I need to rest and recharge my batteries. So pls pardon me if I rarely update my blog or reply emails.

I'm back in FYP lab today to submit my project. Cos I wasn't aware -or rather didn't take the initiative to find out- that I had to submit a hard copy of the report until the supervisor Mr Leong emailed me that day. Haiz. It's things like these that make me wanna slap myself sometimes. Thank God Mr Leong seemed nice enough. He has already graded my Flash applications and AES and accepted my report.

But there's a slight glitch in my AES cos I couldn't paste a Flash Movie on the homepage. So now I have to download a program to enable screen capture. And it's taking ages to download.

Cost Accounting lecture at 3pm. I think we'll receive our Common Test results today. Praying hard that I get a good-enough grade.

Nothing much to say about last night's SI except that I was a tad disappointed. Wonder who would be out today. But first, I need to get through the next 7 hours in school...

Went to Grand Plaza Parkroyal yesterday for buffet to celebrate the full month of my baby cousin. The ambience of the cafe was great but the food was alright. Had soft shell crab, catfish, sashimi, sushi, soba noodles and some pastries. The dessert was better than the proper food. Haha...

After the meal, we decided to go to Raffles City, which was within walking distance, to kill time since it was still early. Mummy's relatives went there with us but they left shortly after we reached. So Mummy and I went shopping alone. I haven't been there for ages so it was fun initially.

We bought 2 T-shirts from Giordano and some pastries from the bakery at the basement. There wasn't much to shop there so we got bored after a few hours and decided to go home.

Reached home before 9pm. Ate some of the pastries we bought earlier. Napped for a while as I wanted to watch the World Cup finals with my parents at 2am. I'm not a soccer fan but since I didn't have school today, I didn't mind staying up to watch the match.

I missed the first 20 minutes when France and Italy equalised. Haiz. Wasn't really paying attention during the first half as I was still half-asleep. Second half wasn't that interesting either and soon, it was clear that the match had to go into extra time.

Extra time was interesting. Really interesting. I really dunno whether to laugh or sympathize with Zidane for ending his World Cup career in this way. I guess that Italian player must have provoked him in some way for him to head-butt that guy. But it proved to be a huge mistake and Zidane got red-carded. So sad right? I guess I was more amused than sorry for him as I was on Italy's side. But nonetheless, it was a sad way to end the World Cup journey.

I thought I heard the commentator saying that Italy had a bad record for penalty kicks. But they still won the Cup after a penalty shootout. It was interesting to watch both teams' reactions after the victory was sealed. Italy was rejoicing while French players were seen sobbing. Well, there's always 2010. Haha...

Decided to blog since I'm quite free at the moment. Did final presentation for FYP this morning. Quite OK, I guess. Better than the one I did in Week 7. Have yet to submit my AES and report. Nothing much to add. Will see if I can spruce things up later.

So FYP is coming to an end. But I still have 3 more weeks of Cost Accounting to go. Last week's Common Test was fine, I hope. And I'm still waiting for the people at Johnson & Johnson to get back to me regarding my internship. Hope I get it. I really wanna get poly over and done with. Sometimes I really hate myself for screwing up that module in Year 1. Everyone's moved on and I'm still stuck here. Haiz. Well, no use crying over spilt milk.

Shall talk about something happier. Going out with my folks on Sunday for tunch(lunch and high tea)organised by Mummy's cousin to celebrate his baby son's full month. It's at Plaza Parkroyal. Hope the food is good. Haha...

The stupid weather is killing me and the aircon doesn't help much but shall blog about yesterday anyway.

My internship is starting in a few weeks' time and I went for an interview at Johnson & Johnson on Friday morning. It was arranged by Teach Me which helps disabled youths like me. By the way the office is at International Business Park which is situated in Jurong. But fortunately the traffic wasn't congested as I set off early and I reached there way before the stipulated interview time which was 10am.

When I reached there, I waited at the lobby for Ian, the Teach Me staff who's in charge of finding job opportunities for Teach Me clients. He was stuck in heavy traffic though and he called and asked me to go upstairs first to wait for him.

So I went up to Johnson & Johnson at Level 7. The receptionist was nice and friendly. Ian arrived at 10.15am. Then we were led to the interview room by one of the staff.

I had to go through 2 interviews in 2 different departments. All I could say is that I felt I could have done better if I was more confident. It was my first time going through a formal interview. Anyway they will get back to me in a week's time. Praying for the best.

The interviews ended slightly before noon. Ian brought me downstairs and he left. Mummy arrived shortly after and the taxi came to bring us to Causeway Point.

I've never shopped there before so it was a nice experience. The place looked quite big. We spent quite some time browsing at John Little. Mummy bought a pair of pants for me and some cosmetics for herself.

Then we went to Sakae Sushi for lunch. Cloud talked about the food there recently and I wanted to try it. I dunno if I'm just biased but somehow I didn't like the food and ambience there as much as Ichiban Boshi.

One big problem is that the seating wasn't convenient for people in wheelchairs. The tables were on platforms. However the staff were very friendly and hospitable so we decided to dine there anyway. But due to the strange seating, we settled for side dishes as it was difficult for me to eat bento with the table at a higher position.

Another problem was that it seemed warm and stuffy inside and there were houseflies. Luckily they didn't go into our food. Talking about the food, we ordered salmon sashimi(not bad but not the best I've tried), tempura moriawase(the prawns were big, much to my delight ;p), unagi tofu(this one was good) and soft shell crab(good but a tad salty).

For dessert, we ordered green tea ice cream and mochi ice cream. I loved the desserts. The green tea ice cream was rich. But they just served the whole small tub. By the way the brand was Bud's. Haven't heard of this brand but might wanna try getting it someday. But I couldn't understand why they just gave us the pint. I thought usually they would at least serve it in a nice bowl or cup. Never mind. The mochi ice cream was powdery(mochi is a type of powder used in Japanese cooking) but tasty. It also looked cute. I had the peach-flavoured one.

On the whole, the whole dining experience was OK but not the best Japanese dining experience I've had. Maybe I'm just critical. Anyway we continued shopping after lunch. Not sure if it's just me or the aircon in Causeway Point wasn't strong enough. I felt warm the whole day. But shopping was fun. Haven't shopped for ages. We bought a watch for me and a top for Mummy. We also bought some food for today's breakfast.

At evening, we took the MRT to Toa Payoh Hub where we browsed around and had dessert at the food court. We went home at 9.30pm.

Went to Suntec on Friday to attend a workshop entitled I Can Win That Job 2006. It's organised by Teach Me and UBS Bank. It was held in the bank's office at Tower 5, Level 10.

It was a full day workshop but it wasn't too boring. In fact, I enjoyed most of it. The morning session covered on making the right impression during an interview. The trainers were from Imageworks. Learned about the appropriate way to dress for job interviews and how to project a good image.

After that was lunch. They ordered KFC and pizza. Of course it was great. Haha... After lunch, another speaker from UBS talked about finding the perfect job to match our personalities. That guy was really humorous and that was my fave segment.

Then it was Resume Writing. The lady pointed out our strengths and weaknesses in the resumes we submitted prior to the workshop. Though I've already learned about that in a previous module in school, it's useful to learn it again.

The last part was on Interview Skills. The speaker presented a hilarious skit with one of Teach Me's staff. It was meant as an example of how to screw up your interview. Had a great laugh while picking up tips.

On the whole, it was a fruitful experience and I've learned a lot. It ended at 6pm and Cheryl, the Teach Me staff who coordinated this event, pushed me to the Carrefour tower to wait for Mummy.

Actually I didn't just sit there and wait. I actually did something I've never done before in public places. I actually ventured into Carrefour Level 1 on my own. Cos Mummy could only arrive at 7pm and it was only 6.15pm then. So I called Mummy just to inform her that I was gonna 'stroll around'.

There wasn't anything interesting to see in the hypermarket. But it was a good form of exercise. Could burn off some calories. I made one round and somehow managed to reach the other end of Carrefour after half an hour though I was lost in the midst of exploring. Haha...

After that, I rested outside Carrefour. Mummy arrived at 7pm. Then we waited for her cousin, Auntie Nancy to join us for dinner.

We had dinner at Ichiban Boshi. Tried it last Nov and loved it. This time Mummy and I shared the Business Set which consisted of rice, miso soup, mixed tempura, tori karaage, grilled mackerel, gyoza, chawanmushi and watermelon. Oishii ne! Haha...

After dinner, we browsed around. The taxi came to pick us up at 9.30pm.

The above lyrics pretty much sums up last night's Singapore Idol Piano Show for the second batch of guys. Wonder if the judges were really wide awake and listening to the contestants during the auditions. The first Piano Show 2 weeks ago was just alright. Most of them could carry a tune but only Jonathan and Paul really made an impression. As for last week's show, I only enjoyed Jasmine's performance. Gayle and Melissa were over-ambitious in their choice of songs. And how did Milly get into the top 28, I wonder. She totally ruined Colours Of The Wind, the theme song of Pocahontas. The male version of Milly appeared in the form of Primero(what a name) in last night's Piano Show. He sure is good-looking but the moment he started to sing Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, I was like OMG!

And I think the song One Last Cry is cursed. Both Scott Savol and Kevin Covais have attempted this song in American Idol for the past 2 seasons and it didn't work. The same thing happened for one of the contestants(forgot his name) last night. Wonder who will get in tonight. I think that guy(his name is Jay if I'm not wrong) who sang Goodbye by Air Supply was not bad so he might get in.

Haiz. I guess I'm writing all these due to boredom. Cost Accounting lecture at 3pm. Will be off tomorrow to attend a workshop on Interview Skills and Resume Writing at Suntec Tower 5. It's organised by Teach Me. Mummy will meet me there after work for dinner.

Mr Leong came in just now to brief me on Phase 2 of the project. It's a more complex version of what I did for Phase 1. He let me refer to the sample application. I'll see what I can do.

Went through my blog archives just now. So I've been blogging since Mid-June 2004. How time flies. As I read through what I typed previously, memories flooded back. Some events left a deeper impression than others. I also went through my ancient Easyjournal entries a few days ago when I had nothing much to do. It's interesting to see how much I've changed since then. Some things have changed too.

Shall get back to work now. Got Cost Accounting later. It seems to be getting tougher. Haiz.

Just finished presenting Phase 1 of my FYP. Not sure if I did well enough but that guy who helped me to navigate the Powerpoint slides said I did OK. I really dunno. I'm very bad with words and I stammered a bit. Tried my best to speak clearly. Was quite nervous.

I think my presentation was rather short. Didn't know what to add. It didn't help that the computer in S509 didn't have Flash installed so I couldn't do a demonstration of my project to extend my presentation. Luckily my assessor seemed nice enough. Now I can only pray that I did well enough.

Dunno what to do for the rest of the day. And it's not even 10am now. I guess I just have to stone around. Wonder when Mr Leong will give me instructions on Phase 2 of my project which will be a further development of the existing Flash application. Pray hard that I won't have problems with Phase 2 and hopefully the final presentation would be much better than what I did today.

It's only 9.30am and I'm beginning to feel bored already. Finished Phase 1 of my Flash project and all that's left now is my Powerpoint presentation which I've already completed 4 slides. Not sure how many more I'll do. Mr Leong said it's up to me. The whole presentation, including Flash demonstration, should last about 10 minutes. It doesn't help that I'm horrible when it comes to public speaking, or just interacting with people, for that matter.

I'll see how it goes. Meanwhile, it's Friday again and the weekend is approaching. Yeah! At least I can sleep in. Need to make up for lack of sleep on weekdays. Problem is that I can never fall asleep before midnight and I have to wake up at 7.15am every morning since I need to reach school at 8am as instructed. Speaking of which, I actually reached school at 8.13am just now. Mummy woke up late cos she wasn't well so she woke me up late. I don't blame her though. Anyway I was the first to reach the lab as usual. So no difference.

As expected, Taylor Hicks was crowned the winner of American Idol 2006. No surprises. I guess his last song Do I Make You Proud sealed his victory. Nice song. Shall post the lyrics at the end of this entry. Anyway last night's finale was not bad. Not fantastic but not too bad. Except for the lame Puck 'N Pickler thing. Kellie looks nice with her new hair-cut though.

The Golden Idols ceremony was cute too. They ought to do this every year. I love that part when that Princess-whatever(forgot her surname)sang That's What Friends Are For and Simon told her to stop cos she was giving him a headache. The look on his face - priceless. Can't stand that Clay Aiken wannabe. He's no Clay. And Clay changed his hairstyle. Don't really like it.

Last night was the first time in a long while that I actually had a good laugh. Haven't laughed like that for ages.

The first episode of Singapore Idol was hilarious. Though I missed the first 30 min cos I was still in the shower. I think it was even funnier than the auditions for American Idol 5.

In fact, AI5 has been a disappointment throughout the entire season. Can't stand the judges' childish squabbles. The songs sang this season were mostly unfamiliar. The themes weren't fantastic. The finalists weren't fantastic except for Chris Daughtrey who was booted out the week before. And I can't believe Taylor Hicks is in the finals. His ballads are OK but his dancing is -in Simon's words- hideous. Americans love him. He's never been in the bottom 3 at all. So it is very likely that he would win the title. Though I would prefer Katharine to win it. She might not know how to control her voice sometimes but at least she looks way better than Taylor.

Sorry I digressed a bit. Back to last night's SI. The 'nong nong ago' guy made me laugh the most. Seriously. I laughed till tears came out from my eyes. Then there was this guy who sang for so long but I forgot the song. Then there was the 双截棍 guy. Didn't he know SI was an English singing contest? Besides, he was rapping, not singing. Guess many people just wanted their 30 seconds of fame so badly. Of course, there were good singers too. That gal who sang I Have Nothing. I only heard her audition cos I was still changing my clothes in my room then. Not bad at all. Can't wait for the next episode.

So our new TV has finally arrived yesterday. Hooray! At least there's something to rejoice about after all this while. It's a flatscreen LCD TV. Really cool. Still trying to get used to it though. And we've also changed the SCV box cos the old one was faulty. Anyway I'm so glad things are back to normal.

I've just discovered that the domain name for shoutmix.com has expired so my shoutbox couldn't be used. Shall think of a solution. Should I reuse my old tagboard? But it doesn't look very nice on this layout and my school has blocked tagboard. On the other hand, I wonder how many people still visit my blog so is there really a need to have a shoutbox? If not, what else can I put there?

I think I don't have Cost Accounting later cos this week is e-learning according to the schedule. Wonder if my project group wants to discuss the project later. It's due next week and we've barely started. Haiz. OK. Will msg Malar later. I don't want them to think I'm not interested. I don't want another unpleasant project experience like what happened last semester.

I'm at home now. Tried to download the latest version of MSN Messenger just now. Guess what? My computer didn't match the requirements for the program so the download couldn't be done. So that means I can't use MSN at home. Great huh? Hope Mummy will get me a new PC soon.

Consolation is that we'll get our new LCD TV tomorrow! For the past few days, we've been trying to make ends meet with Granny's faulty TV since she went to my grand-aunt's house to stay for a few days. It was really bad for our eyesight. It was quite OK for the first day but subsequently, the screen became blur. There was lotsa distortion. And it couldn't receive Channel U. My parents have decided to get a small TV for Granny to replace the faulty one.

Never mind. Everything would be back to normal from tomorrow afternoon. Finally something to rejoice about.

Just wanna kill time so I'm here to blog. I just can't seem to find the problem with the Flash application. Everything looks fine but when I try to run it, it doesn't work.

On a happier note, I've got permission to skip school on every Wednesday from tomorrow onwards. So I can save some taxi fare. Glad Mr Leong understands my situation. Hopefully time will pass faster that way. Then again, my new TV will only arrive on Thursday. My parents have settled for a 32-inch plasma TV cos it was quite affordable as it was a display set.

What should I do at home tomorrow? I guess I shall try to figure out the Flash project, read up on Cost Accounting, read newspapers, listen to music etc. At least I have more freedom at home.

Actually I really dunno what to say. Shall list down some things/events(not in any particular order) that make me happy. Hopefully the thought of these things would make me feel better.

1) A nice song on radio (Preferably something by Energy. Or just anything nice.)
2) Seeing Energy on TV or in the flesh(I might sound like a crazy fan but they really make me happy most of the time.)
3) Eating something delicious (Preferably something sweet.)
4)Spending time with family and friends (It's been so long since I spent time with the latter.)
5) Funny/sweet/meaningful SMSes from loved ones (Unfortunately my phone has been silent for a long while.)

That's all I can think of for now. Can't wait for lunch time. That's when I can have some time alone in the discussion room and ponder upon some stuff.

Things haven't been great lately. Have been preoccupied by various problems in different aspects of my life for the past week. Maybe it's my own fault. I dunno. Just hope things would get better. Waiting for a miracle.

And guess what? The TV at home has 'passed away' earlier today. As if things aren't bad enough yeah? Mummy said she'll go get a new one with Dad tomorrow. Will just settle for a small and cheap one for the time being cos we'll be moving house in about 2 years later. Waiting for our new flat to be ready. It's near Buangkok MRT. Meanwhile, we just have to wait.

Another problem is that I can't sign into MSN today. Can't discuss about Cost Accounting Project with Malar. When I tried to sign in, there was a message that prompted me to download the latest version of MSN. I clicked OK then it kinda hanged. Haiz. When can I get a new computer?

Enough of complaining. Just need to get things off my chest. Or else I might just break down someday. Sooner or later.

Back to blog. Almost forgot about the existence of this blog. Haha... Nah. Actually I had nothing much to say and didn't wanna annoy my readers with random ramblings. I have another secret outlet for that and some people whom I know wouldn't mind my random entries.

It's the end of Week 3 already. Time flies. That's good and bad at the same time. Can't wait for everything to end ASAP. But at the same time, I'm still struggling with my project. Haiz. Debugged some errors and I'm stuck.

As for Cost Accounting which I'm taking concurrently with FYP, I'm trying to grasp the concepts. Might get up earlier tomorrow to revise a bit. There's a mini-project for that as well. Working as a group with 3 other people. They offered to let me join their group cos I didn't know anyone in the lecture group. Let's pray hard everything goes well. Don't want another painful experience of working in groups. They seem to be nice people. Got Malar's MSN so maybe we could discuss online since it's almost impossible to meet up with FYP occupying most of my time.

Middle of 2nd week of FYP. So far so good. Looking through the Flash example provided by the supervisor. Nothing much to do so I try to surf around while making sure I'm not being watched. Haha...

And when I say 'surf around', I really mean it. I start the day by checking Hotmail. Then I move on to my friends' blogs but usually I'm greeted by ancient entries. Some of my friends are busy with exams from what I know. Others? I really dunno.

Today is the 3rd day of FYP and I've been transferred to the lab next to the one I was originally posted to. That lab had no Internet access so I couldn't blog. When I was bored, I could only play Solitaire. Unfortunately, I was caught by the lab technician twice.

I'm supposed to use Flash to reproduce some e-learning material. Trying to re-learn Flash now. It's been quite some time since I took that module. But it's quite interesting. At least it's software and not hardware.

Only problem is that staring at the PC from 9am to 6pm can be very tiring for the eyes and mind. And it's freezing in the lab. Been quite irritable for the past two days. Can't wait to graduate after attachment which I've decided to do outside as I'm sick and tired of school and I also wanna gain exposure to the working world outside. Plus I can get some allowance which I won't get if I do it in-house.

Will blog about my outing with Raye at J8 on Saturday and the grand finals of Campus Superstar last night.

Firstly, I apologise to Raye for being late for 20 min as I was held up at home. When I arrived, we decided to have lunch at Cafe Cartel which was quite disappointing. It was my first time there. The service was quite slow due to the weekend crowd and the food wasn't fantastic. I had Fish & Chips while Raye had Caesar's Salad. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Anyway, we began to shop after lunch. Most of the shopping was done on Level 2 where we bought earrings at Ice Lemon Tee. She paid for mine as she forgot to bring the original pair she wanted to give me.

After shopping, we sat down at Coffee Bean to chat while waiting for my mum. It was nice to catch up on good old times. We could still remember the times we spent in Cedar. Had a good laugh at some memorable occasions.

Raye left after my mum came. Then my mum and I went to shop at Level 4. We bought a coin purse for myself and a handphone chain for her. After that, we had dinner at KFC then went home.

Shall talk about Campus Superstar now. As expected, Zhiyang emerged the grand champion. He did a reasonably good job except for Superwoman which was too challenging. Teresa was great too but she didn't have enough stage presence. But I hope she would have a chance to cut her own album as well. Her voice is refreshing.

Not to say that Geraldine and Renfred didn't do well. Just that they weren't as good. They need to work on their vocals.

Passed all my modules last semester. And I don't have to register for that remaining elective module. The timetable would be sent to my student email on April 11. But problem is, I have to write in to the course manager and get the letter signed by my FYP supervisor to get permission to do the module concurrently with FYP. It has to be done by April 6. Do I need to go back to submit the letter? Must find out.

Mozilla browser is down so I'm using IE again. Getting used to it. Only problem is that I must edit my Favourites list. Both browsers were down on Sunday. Luckily I had Raye to accompany me on MSN. Hate my computer. When is Mummy getting me a laptop?

I'll only start FYP on April 17 cos I'm still short of one elective module which I must do concurrently with FYP from April 17. That's what I found out when I went back to school yesterday. Attended briefings and simply lazed around until 3pm before I was told to go home. But at least I know what's expected so I can get myself prepared for the time being.

There are lotsa rules. It's like the real working environment cos they are preparing us for IAP and the real working world. But it's good training. Can't wait to get over and done with it.

Exams have finally ended yesterday. Surprisingly, both papers weren't as tough as expected. Maybe I studied hard enough this time. Or maybe I was just plain lucky.

Database exam was an open-book paper though some questions were application questions and I still had to use my brain. Wasn't sure about two questions though. IT Security was the biggest surprise. Most of it was an exact carbon copy of the past year paper the lecturer gave us. I'm glad I made it a point to memorise the answers to the theory questions. Kinda forgot how to draw one of the diagrams though. But on the whole, I think I did much better than for the Week 10 Common Test which was a disaster.

Can rest for one week before going back to school for Final Year Project(FYP). Wonder what we have to do. No instructions given yet except that we must report at LTS2 on 13 March at 9am. Heard from some people who have gone through FYP that it's quite enjoyable. I'll just try my best and see how it goes.

Not sure when Mummy's gonna take me out for KTV. I so wanna sing! Haha... KTV has always been one of my fave forms of relaxation. Though it's a torture for others, I must admit. I'm a lousy singer. Haha...

I don't usually come online on Sunday night but decided to do so cos I wanna concentrate on revision tomorrow. So I'll do my 'leisure surfing' now.

Some things on my mind other than exams. Other than wondering about my attachment which I'm still trying to enquire about, I'm wondering about life after poly. Further studies or work? Frankly speaking, I have doubts. Should I pursue courses in other areas? Mummy thinks I'm good in languages so maybe I could take up related courses. I'll try to research on that. But first, my upcoming exams. The next 9 days would be spent on intensive revision. Pray that everything goes well.

Good news is that I've more or less stopped coughing completely after 4 dreadful weeks. I even had Western food for lunch yesterday. Haha... But cold drinks are still a no-no. Never mind. I can live without that.

The past week has been memorable for all the wrong reasons. Firstly, I've been absent from school for the whole week due to a bad cough. In fact, I'm still coughing now. And tomorrow is already CNY Eve. Waiting for a miracle. How to enjoy CNY like that?

However, something even more dramatic happened on Wednesday night. It was close to midnight. My parents dozed off while watching TV. I couldn't sleep due to that stupid cough. Suddenly, I heard a loud 'boom'. Subsequently, power was cut off. A few more 'boom's followed. I immediately woke Mummy up. Eventually the whole family woke up. Our neighbour knocked on our door and we found out what actually happened.

The 'electric box'(I'm afraid I dunno the proper term for that thing.)outside our unit was on fire. Dad asked me, Mummy and Granny to stay downstairs while he tried to settle the problem with our neighbour.

I dunno what exactly happened upstairs but I saw firemen and policemen. My mind was in a blank. I kept praying for our house to be safe from serious damage. But I was grateful that we were safe and sound. Can't imagine what could have happened if everyone was asleep when the incident took place.

After an hour, the fiasco ended and we were allowed to return home. What a shocking experience. This event has made me reflect on many things. Life is unpredictable and we must treasure what we have. Actually I have lots more to say but can't find the words to describe my thoughts. I'm just relieved that I'm alive.

I'm sick again. Have been coughing since yesterday. Really hate it. Esp since CNY is approaching. Really hope to get well soon. Must try to avoid iced drinks and desserts from now on. I notice that everytime I eat or drink such stuff, I'll start coughing. Haiz.

On a happier note, Mummy bought me a flower-shaped beaded necklace for CNY. Really love it. Although life is never perfect, I try to derive happiness from small things like this. Maybe I'll be happier this way. Just heard the song 知足 by 五月天 on 933. Really like the lyrics.

Finally went shopping for clothes yesterday after school. Went to Bugis Junction with Mummy. Only managed to get a pink top from U2. I'll just find an existing cardigan to go with it. Also bought a cute watch from one of those mobile stalls.

I need new accessories. Saw some nice necklaces but they were too expensive. Mummy said there are similar ones at Toa Payoh and she could get them for me at a lower price. So I'll just wait. I like those long ones with either wooden or shell-like pendants. Anyway I also bought a few badges to pin onto my school bag. Actually Bugis is a nice place to shop at. Too bad we couldn't stay for too long cos I still have school today. And the things there are kinda expensive. It was nice shopping though. Even if I didn't get many things, I enjoy the mere activity of shopping.

The sun has finally reappeared! After days of non-stop rain, I'm so glad to have sunny weather now. Really hope and pray that the weather would be just as good tomorrow cos Mummy and I plan to go shop for CNY clothes tomorrow. Really don't want bad weather to spoil our plans. Desperately need to go out and unwind.

Past few days have been quite gloomy for me. Besides the bad weather, I also got down with fever on Tuesday. Thank God I've already recovered yesterday. Luckily I was still fine enough to sit for Database test on Wednesday morning. Really hate feeling sick. No appetite, no mood plus the bitter taste of medicine. Thank God it's finally over.

Need to find an outlet to vent my frustrations so here I am blogging. Firstly, the UMS project. My stupid diskette has problems saving now, of all times. Not forgetting communication problems with my project partner. Will try to avoid working in groups at all costs in the near future. Now I just hope to finish my part of the project ASAP and bid goodbye to that stupid woman. May our paths never cross again.

If it still doesn't work then I'll just move on to revising for my tests. Next few weeks would be hell. I still have Database project which -thankfully- I've started doing yesterday, and -thankfully again- I'm doing it alone. I guess I work better alone. The workload is heavier no doubt but at least I don't have to handle difficult people. Maybe I'm a loner. I dunno.

Earlier part of the day was spent sobbing over stress from school work. Hope I'm not heading for a nervous breakdown. I really need to learn how to manage my emotions. Can't believe I'm still behaving like a baby at the age of 20. Haiz.

First entry for 2006. Have been slacking for the past 2 days. Shall resume with revision tomorrow. Anyway, shall talk about what happened on 31 Dec 2005.

Must say it started quite badly. Went to Indoor Stadium for the ABC Countdown Concert. The queue was so long. That wasn't a problem for me and Mummy but 'someone' just had to find fault. He was throwing his temper and stuff. Very embarrassing. At that point of time, I really wished Harry Potter could lend me his Invisibility Cloak. A million apologies to all innocent parties who were screamed at by him.

Anyway, the problem of getting in was solved eventually. The show started at around 9pm. Quite a long wait. First to perform was 迪克牛仔。Quite boring. Then it was 王傑。Slightly more bearable. At least he tried to crack some lame jokes. Haha....

Last was 草蜢。Their performance was most enjoyable. Admire their stamina even though they are no longer young. Haha... They spoke and sang in Cantonese most of the time.

The show ended after the countdown. Guess what I saw after we left the stadium? Fireworks from Esplanade! It was magnificent and splendid. That was the best part of the whole day, in my opinion. Haha...

Really hope 2006 would be a better year for myself and everyone whom I love and cherish. That includes family, friends and idols. Shall not make any resolutions though cos I know I can never fulfil them. Haiz.

Merry X'mas to one and all! Sad to say, this year's X'mas has been the most uneventful one in years. Only went to my aunt's house on X'mas Day. Didn't do much there except have dinner and watch The Princess Diaries on Channel 5. Actually I could only read the subtitles cos it was quite noisy. Nice show though.

Enjoyed the food though. Besides the usual bee hoon, I also had chicken wings, baby ribs from Tony Roma's and tiramisu. Sinful indulgence all in the name of festivity. Haha... Also enjoyed admiring my aunt's Siberian Huskey named Jersey. Gorgeous creature. She might look intimidating but she's actually quite friendly and tame.

Shall spend the rest of the week studying for quizzes and Common Tests. Will do New Year Countdown at Indoor Stadium cos my mum has tix to a concert featuring 草蜢, 王傑 and 迪克牛仔。The cast doesn't sound appealing but it's free so no harm going. Just hope I won't fall asleep. Haha...

Actually we are supposed to do e-assignment now but I've already done it at home so I'm blogging now. Haha...

Haiz. Although next week is term break, I have 2 quizzes the following week and 2 Common Tests the week after that. So next week is not much of a break after all. Hope I can make it. Must still take some time out to enjoy X'mas. Can't believe 2005 is coming to an end soon. It seems only like yesterday when I made my resolutions for 2005. Sad to say, I didn't really keep to some of them.

And I wanna add some stuff to my blog. Notice that section with only 3 links? It looks rather empty. Might put some avatars or poems/lyrics if I have inspiration. I do have some ideas but just can't seem to convert them into words.

OK. Enough of my crap. By the way, I tried to add music to my blog but I'm not sure if it worked out cos my home PC's speakers aren't working. Can someone let me know by tagging? Thanks!

Haven't been blogging for a while cos didn't know what to write. Nothing much has happened except random stuff like assignments, projects, quizzes etc. Haha... Yup. School has been occupying most of my time lately.

And I hate the weather. I bet it's due to global warming. It just doesn't feel like December. I remember just last month, it was cool and I didn't even have to leave the fan on at night when I was sleeping. And now, it's so hot. The sunlight was so strong on Monday evening when I was waiting for my taxi after school. Strange weather.

OK. I know this entry is plain dumb. Just felt like complaining about the weather.

Back to blog a bit. Another 3 more hours of Database lab to go. Nothing much today except that I saw QQ at McDonald's again(I also saw him last Friday) today. He was nice enough to push me to class and we chatted a bit. Other than that, most of the day was spent stoning and revising after lunch.

Goblet Of Fire wasn't up to my expectations. Well, I guess the director tried his best but he still failed to capture the essence of the book. I guess it was difficult considering that the book had 600+ pages. Nonetheless, it was disappointing.

It was way too dark and serious for my liking. Yup. The book was dark too but it also had its funny moments which the movie failed to capture. Some parts were too draggy while some were too brief. However, I liked the way Harry and Hermione have grown. They look absolutely gorgeous. I wouldn't say the same about Ron. Cho wasn't as pretty as the book described her to be. I also liked the guy who portrayed Viktor Krum. Though I thought Viktor and Fleur were nothing more than extras in the film cos their scenes were too short. That shouldn't be the case! Stupid Mike Newell! I miss Chris Columbus, especially after re-watching Chamber Of Secrets. I thought Alfonso Cuaron did a bad job with Prisoner Of Azkaban but Mike Newell did worse with Goblet Of Fire. Was anticipating the movie cos the book was fantastic but was sorely disappointed. Hope Order Of The Phoenix would turn out much better. Wonder when it would be out.

Enough about that. Guess what? Mummy got me Energy's greatest hits album <4ever> on my birthday! Actually it was released in early 2004. At that time, I just began to like them. Actually we were just browsing around in Sembawang Music while waiting for the movie to start. Then we caught sight of the CD and Mummy asked me if I wanted it as a birthday gift. Of course I said yes! It was a compilation of 12 songs from their first 3 albums plus 4 'new'(at that time, they were new) tracks. Even though it was released ages ago, I still loved it. There were obscure gems like 末日秀 from their second album. Love the lyrics. Though I didn't like the two remixes in Disc 2.

I'm thinking of changing my blogskin but can't find satisfactory ones. Also can't decide on the theme. Any suggestions?

So I'm back again. Never tried blogging twice on a single day. Something cropped up during the lab exercise so we got a break. Hooray!

I dunno if I'm starting to like JJ Lin more. Esp after Singapore Hit Awards. He's so talented and rather cute as well. He actually waved back at me that night! He can play the piano really well and I love the songs he wrote for other artistes esp Z-Chen's Mo Ri Zhi Lian, A-Mei's Ji De and of course Energy's Wo Men. Maybe it's just a passing craze cos I'm still very much into Energy. They looked resplendent in white that night! Though Kunda looked pale cos he hurt his back while rehearsing for a dance item that was supposed to take place that night but was cancelled due to his injury. What a pity! Hope he gets well soon even though he's still my least fave. Don't want him to end up like A-di. I can imagine the pain they go through. Occupational hazard.

Lastly, would like to recommend this great Jap restaurant at Suntec. It's called Ichiban-Boshi, I think. Mummy and I shared Breaded Fish Set and BBQ Salmon Set. Both sets came with miso soup and a plate of gyoza(Jap fried dumplings). We also had green tea ice cream and mud-pie for dessert. The food was excellent and the ambience was awesome. And the bill came up to around $20 only. Worth every single cent. Wouldn't mind going there again.

Hope this entry gets published successfully. My PC has been crazy lately. Tried to blog about 10 days ago but after typing everything, my PC hanged! Aargh! Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself today.

It's the last week of my holidays. Seems that this semester break hasn't been an eventful one. Most of it was spent at home lazing around. That's why I haven't been blogging much cos nothing interesting has happened. Well, I went out twice though. This Friday, I'll be going out for the last time(during this break, that is). Going to watch Singapore Hit Awards. Energy is coming! It would be the 4th time I'll be seeing them in person. Though Milk won't be coming cos he has left the group to pursue his interest in dance. He wants to be a dance instructor. Wish him all the best though I thought it's a waste of talent. Consolation is, A-di is no longer leaving! At least that's the case for now. It seems that Energy might be gradually shedding their image as a dance group. They might try to compose their own music in future. Hope they succeed. Meanwhile, hope they win Best Group on Friday.

Also looking forward to see JJ Lin for the first time. He's kinda cool. And I've began to like him more since he wrote Energy's Wo Men. Other artistes who are coming include Twins, Mayday, Stefanie Sun, Tanya Chua, Fish Leong, Emil Chou, FIR etc. I'm glad I'm watching the show live. Cos last year's TV telecast proved that the people at Mediacorp are 'great' at editing.

Still must go online tomorrow midnight to plan my timetable. Hope my PC doesn't play tricks on me then. Gotta go now cos I think this entry is going nowhere. Haha...

Phew! I passed all my modules! What a relief. Have been fretting over it for ages. Can finally enjoy the rest of my holidays with a peace of mind.

Talking about enjoying my hols, the most highly-anticipted event on my agenda is finally coming. Going to Partyworld KTV at Bishan Community Club with Mummy tomorrow. Hope they have updated Energy's latest songs from Final Fantasy album. Hope my cough doesn't 'relapse' tomorrow while I'm singing. It started last week but it's been getting better for the past few days. Last week was horrible. Been coughing badly with all the phlegm stuck in my throat.

Now there's only one 'mystery' left unsolved. Are they coming on Nov 4 or not? Only 21 more days to go. I'm talking about Singapore Hit Awards and the 'they' in question needs no further introduction, I guess. Haha... They have attended this event for the past 3 consecutive years and I certainly hope this year won't be an exception. And yes, I've bought tix. But I have a bad feeling that they won't come. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, waiting for a miracle.

Went to Jumbo Seafood Restaurant at East Coast yesterday evening for dinner to celebrate Mummy's birthday which is today. Happy Birthday Mummy!

We sat outside and enjoyed the sea breeze. Great atmosphere. Fond memories of hanging out with my pals at East Coast flooded back. The food was great. Had shark's fin soup, fried noodles, crispy chicken, prawns, mushrooms, fish, chilli crab and fruits. Loved the chilli crab. Esp the fried buns which came with it. They tasted great when dipped into the gravy. The gravy was moderately spicy so I was fine with it. Mummy's cousins were with us and one of them paid for the dinner.

I'm back! Exams have finally ended yesterday. Can take a break. Hoping for the best when results are released. Meanwhile, I just wanna relax.

Good news: Energy has received 2 nominations in this year's Singapore Hit Awards! Hooray! They are in the running for Best Group and COURTS(sponsor for the awards)New Idol Award. The first award is quite obvious but I'm quite curious about the second one. Cos according to the awards' official website, they were nominated for this award based on their first album Come On. Other nominees for this category are 5566, Cyndi, Jerry Yan and Sly. All based on their debut album. I don't get it. What's the significance? I can understand Sly and Jerry's nominations since they've only released one album each but the rest have released a few albums hence they are not considered 'new'. Anyway, I think this category is based on public votes. Hope my dears get it even if I don't understand the category.

Now, the million dollar question is: Will they come for the ceremony? Really hope they will come. My mum and I plan to go. It's on Nov 4 which is also Shuwei's birthday. If they get at least one award, it would be double joy. Haha... And the '2 million dollar question' is: Will A-di come if they come? Cos he's supposed to be recuperating from his injuries. Really hope to see him again.

Congrats to Wei Lian for clinching the title of Project Superstar. Although it wasn't a perfect performance, I was really touched by his sincerity. Almost cried when he sang Wo Zhen De Shou Shang Le. Hope he will continue to improve and shine in the music industry. As for Kelly, she outsang Wei Lian but too bad, she couldn't connect emotionally with the public. But I guess she will still be the next big thing. Wei Lian will sign on with Play Music which is very good in promoting their artistes so I guess they will work out something to groom him. Kelly will sign on with Universal Music which is also Energy's label. Shouldn't be a problem.

Speaking of Energy, Milk turns 26 today! Happy Birthday! Haha... Of course he won't be reading this but still must wish him.

Congrats to Wei Lian and Kelly for making it to the grand finals of Project Superstar! Though I thought Kelly wasn't in form that day. She ought to do much better. Hope she does much better on Sept 1. I'm very happy for Wei Lian. His success shows that as long as someone has determination, he can beat all the odds to achieve what he wants. Some might think he garnered many sympathy votes but I beg to differ. Firstly, he does have a good voice or else he wouldn't have come this far. Secondly, he didn't come into this competition to gain sympathy. He's just like other contestants who just want to pursue their dreams. Anyway, wish him all the best for Sept 1. Though I also hope Kelly will do us gals proud in the battle of the sexes. Haha...

In other news, I'm still busy with projects and assignments. Must wake up early tomorrow to clear some of it. Deadlines are nearing. Tests and exams are looming. The usual end-of-semester mad rush...

Last night's Superstar results wasn't what I wanted obviously. Derrick is out! I really thought Junyang didn't do well that day and ought to be out. I love Derrick's voice and he's cute. Though his expression while singing looks painful. Haha... Anyway, hope Wei Lian wins. As for the gals, it's a tough fight. Kelly has been very consistent while Xinhui has improved significantly. Talking about Xinhui, I wonder which moron threatened her on the forum. Nothing better to do. If you don't like her, just don't vote. Don't do such silly things.

Last night's Project Superstar's results wasn't up to my expectations. Was thinking that M1(Jason) and F1(Silver) would be out but instead M2(Weicong) and F3(Ruth) got kicked out.

Jason's rendition of Energy's Come On was beyond description(in a bad way though). Haha... It's really tough to try to sing and rap at the same time. I admire his effort but it was really bad. The singing was OK but not the rap. And he couldn't bring out the attitude of the lyrics. Hope all contestants would think twice about singing songs with rap, esp Energy's songs. It was the first time I felt terrible after listening to Energy's song. Haha...

Didn't like Silver's rendition of Jolin's Shuo Ai Ni too. She could do so much better than that, based on her previous performance. But she has some star quality. Hope she and Jason would brush up on their performances after escaping elimination.

Weicong did badly that day too. In my opinion, no one in the right mind would choose Wilbur's fast songs to compete in a singing contest. Don't get the wrong idea. I like Wilbur too. He's cute. But his songs don't suit everyone. Anyway, I hope Weicong can try again in other contests. He has the looks and idol quality and he can sing ballads quite well.

Ruth was disappointing. Really enjoyed her previous performance. But still like her spunkiness. Hope she doesn't give up too. And I think she's NOT fat.

My current faves are Kelly and Derrick. They have been quite consistent so far. But must applaud Kelvin for overcoming his disability to get this far. His voice has touched my heart. Though I think he might lose out in other areas like showmanship. Anyway, whatever the outcome, he's already a winner in many aspects.

Going for dinner to celebrate my paternal granny's birthday tomorrow. Might get to see my cousins. Haven't seen them since CNY. Tomorrow is also a big day for Energy. They are gonna hold a concert in Central Taiwan. This would be their last event together for quite some time. Wish them all the best for tomorrow's show. Heard that it would be even better than the Singapore version. Wilbur would be their guest and they would be singing more songs. I don't blame them though. Cos there's a larger audience over there. Just quite envious. Although I can't be there physically, my heart is with them. Jia You!

Wanted to blog at home yesterday but couldn't access the Net for some reason. Anyway, it's been a smooth week except that I suffered from a mild case of indigestion on Tuesday night.

Good news is that I have two weeks break from tomorrow onwards. Cos I don't have Common Test on Week 10. Shall make use of the break to start on my projects and complete my tutorials. Also need to do something about my cramped folder. Haha...

Wanna get Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince when the price goes down. Besides, I'm too busy to read at the moment. Heard that Professor Dumbledore got killed in this book. Haiz. Can't wait for the 4th film. Should be in cinemas by the end of the year.

Lastly, wanna wish A-di Happy Belated Birthday! He just turned 23 yesterday. Hope he recovers soon and hope his dreams will come true. Also wanna wish Cheng Pei and Cai Fen Happy Birthday today. Saw Cheng Pei at the canteen just now and wished her in person. SMSed Cai Fen to wish her.

Still having night class. Had mock interview for Comm Skills just now. Due to latecomers(sad to say they were MY group mates) and other circumstances, it dragged up till 6.30pm and I had no time to eat my pandan cake. Haiz. Never mind. Gonna browse the pasar malam at my void deck after school.

Projects are coming up. Must really pull up my socks. Common Test coming up in a few weeks too. Anyway, going out again tomorrow. There's some concert at Expo featuring A-do. Alex To and some others. Mummy wants to go. Well, it's only fair cos she accompanied me to watch Energy last week. How time flies. It's been a week since. A-di's voice is still ringing in my head. Wonder if I'll ever get a chance to watch them live again. Chances are slim.

Back to talk about Energy 2005 Goodbye Singapore Concert which took place at Indoor Stadium on Saturday. Was a night to remember for all Energy fans who came from across Asia. They came from countries like Singapore(duh!), Malaysia, Indonesia, China, HK, Taiwan and even Japan.

I reached the stadium at 7.10pm. While waiting for the show to start, I killed time by watching people. Haha... Can't believe that middle-aged men and women were there. But the most shocking audience was this elderly lady! Maybe she was there to accompany her grand-daughter or something.

The show finally kicked off at 8.30pm. The first song was Tian Yu Di. As A-di couldn't dance, they cleverly incorporated him by letting him sit on a 'throne' behind them and some scantily-clad female dancers(btw, all background dancers were from Milk's dance company ShowBiz) surrounded him. Basically it was a re-enactment of the video.

Initially thought I would never see A-di dance again but he actually danced for Wu Xie Ke Ji and some other songs! Though he only could do simple moves. Was quite worried that it would affect his injury but he seemed OK. By the way, they sang live for almost all the songs, except for Hey You(if I'm not wrong).

Shall focus on the solo segment now. Milk did a topless dance. But I thought he was too fair and looked better with his clothes on. Haha... Next was my fave A-di. He sang Faye Wong's Hong Dou and Jacky Cheung's Ta Lai Ting Wo De Yan Chang Hui. Was really heartwarming. Everyone just kept quiet and listened to his wonderful vocals. It was unplugged i.e. he was accompanied by a guitarist. My fave part of the whole show(OK, I'm showing favouritism).

Next was Shuwei. He played on the piano and sang his self-composed song called My Princess. Sadly, it didn't strike a chord with the audience and the response was lukewarm. I guess it's because it's a totally unknown song. And he sounded weak that night. Dunno why. Kunda sang Tian Kong Mei You Xia Yu. His vocals really cannot make it. Haiz... But the song is nice.

The real show-stealers were their classic ballads like Missing You, Mou Nian Mou Yue Mou Yi TIan, Di Er Ci Ai Shang Ni etc. It was like a mass KTV session cos everyone sang along. Though I'm still feeling sore that they didn't sing Yi Zhi Dao Zui Hou completely. A-di finally broke down during the song Wo Men. Poor thing.

But there were light-hearted moments too. Milk joked about his own weak vocals. He attempted A-di's falsetto to hilarious effect. Shuwei was his usual lame but cute self with his 'freezing point' jokes. And I almost fainted when they sang We Are Family for the encore. Shuwei wore a skirt! My jaw almost dropped!

Lastly, I hate to admit this but I think it's hard for them to survive without A-di. Maybe I'm biased but his vocals are the strongest. Anyway, regardless of what happens in future, would like to wish them all the best in their future endeavours. Hope A-di recovers soon and may he scale greater heights in the music industry.

Back again! Seems that I often come back on Fridays. Haha... Waiting for night class. Had Mobile lab test earlier today. Tried my best but not very sure about some parts. Anyway, it's over and done. Then there'll be mock interview for Comm Skills next week. Must wear formal. Haiz...

Would be at Indoor Stadium by this time tomorrow. The day I've been anticipating for the past 3 months! Possibly the last chance to watch all 4 0f them in action for the time being. Must treasure every single moment. So to all EG fans out there, pls give your full support to EG esp A-di OK? Let him enjoy himself before he goes on hiatus. I bet we'll get to watch a great show tomorrow.

Bought i-weekly yesterday. It's been a while since I last bought the mag. No prizes for guessing why. My dears were on the cover! Dunno why but I felt touched by the article. Can feel A-di's passion towards music. Though I don't agree with him quitting school to pursue music, I guess he just wanted to pursue his dream.

Today's entry will be some sort of a "music review" albeit a very biased one. Haha... Yup. Gonna comment on Final Fantasy. Been listening to it for the past two days.

Firstly, must commend my darlings for writing 4 lyrics(Wo Men, We Are Family, Yeah, Holiday) and 1 rap(Wo Hui Hui Lai). Won't say they did a fantastic job but the lyrics were quite well-written.

As for the songs, most of them were covers of Korean songs. Only 3 songs were 100% newly-composed. But almost all the songs were nice. The first 5 tracks were great. I love all the ballads esp Wo Men and Zui Hou Yi Ci. The latter made me cry. Really! The lyrics are so sad. It's written by Xu Shi Zhen who wrote Mou Nian Mou Yue Mou Yi Tian. Must mention that the tune of Wo Men was written by Singapore's very own JJ Lin. And of course the lyrics were penned by Energy, as mentioned in the above paragraph.

As for the fast songs, I love Tian Yu Di and Cowboy. I like the lyrics for the latter. Then there's this up-tempo song called Everything In My Heart. It's also one of my fave tracks. Love the melody and sweet lyrics. It's a happy song.

Vocals-wise, A-di's voice is fantastic. Hope he recovers soon and won't have to rest for so long. Shuwei is another great singer though I still prefer A-di's voice. There's more harmonising on this album. Kunda's singing has improved. Milk can't really sing but his rap is very cute.

Then there's a little 'surprise' at the end of the album. There's a bonus hidden track which plays 1 minute after the last song. It's a recording of their conversation. Very lame but funny. They talked about food, pets, donating to charity etc. They like to eat the char siew at HK airport. You must listen to know I mean. It's very funny.

Overall, I give this album 75/100. Very high score right? Told ya it's a biased review. Haha...

Back again! Guess what? Mummy bought me Energy's Final Fantasy album last night! Hooray! Gonna listen later. Cos she won some money in 4D over the weekend. Haha... Anyway, I got the grey wristband which represents Shuwei. Not bad. Though A-di(his is black) is still my fave. Mummy said there were only red and grey left.

I have their CD, their concert tix, their poster. Now I just lack their autograph. Can my wish come true? Didn't go to their autograph session earlier this month cos had school and I didn't have their album then. Wonder if they'll have another one when they come for their concert. I wanna shake their hands! Am I being greedy?

And I'm still trying to find the perfect pic for my avatar. Raye offered to make some for me. Thanks pal! Sorry to keep you waiting.

Just thought of blogging before night class starts. Today was quite slack. Cos Mobile lab was cancelled. So I spent the first half of the day in McDonald's. Had breakfast then revised my notes while watching TV Mobile. Haha...

Then left for class at 3.30pm. Had problems going out of the lift due to the stupid kerb. Guess what? Saw my ex-classmate from Year 1 outside the lift. She helped to push me out. The thing is, we haven't spoken to each other since end of Year 1. We had problems working together then and our friendship was kinda strained. Was pleasantly surprised by her kind deed today. Maybe she isn't that bad after all. Some people might be difficult to work with but they could be nice.

Finally watched Energy's video for Yan Lei De Wei Dao yesterday on MTV Mandarin. They were guest VJ-ing. It was a nice video though I felt it didn't quite tally with the lyrics. They acted with the same gal from the video of Mou Nian Mou Yue Mou Yi Tian. The story revolves around Milk and Kunda trying to impress the same gal. A-di and Shuwei only made brief appearances in the video, acting as passers-by. Haha...

Yesterday was quite eventful. Attended my mum's cousin's wedding dinner at night. Was quite grand. Nice ambience, food and service. And they even showed a video of the events preceding the dinner. Quite interesting.

Watched 100% Entertainment before we left for the dinner. Yesterday's episode was Energy's fans gathering. Very funny and 'shocking'. Surprised by their candid answers during Truth Or Dare. Esp Shuwei. Though I don't really believe Milk's answer. Wonder when they will show the gathering in S'pore. I thought yesterday's episode was on that but I was wrong. I guess the S''pore version won't be so shocking. Haha...

And I'm supposed to go to a discussion forum for Comm Skills on CMS but can't find it. Stupid CMS. Luckily Block S lab didn't block Blogger so I can blog now. Just now couldn't blog at ELP.

Didn't do much during the weekend. Watched PSC Nite on Sat just because of Energy. Now my mind keeps replaying Yan Lei De Wei Dao. Very nice song! But could tell A-di wasn't feeling too well cos he looked quite restless. Nevertheless, he still sang very well. And I changed my Energy poster on my bedroom wall. Got it from Sistic counter. Finally don't have to see Toro again(the old poster had him in it).

In school now. Trying to figure out how to do the WAP application. It's interesting though. Haiz. Got night class today. Hopefully can rush back in time to watch the last episode of Zero To Hero. Actually quite bored with the show cos it keeps on dragging with not much development for the past week but just wanna know what will happen in the end.

Energy should be in town by now. Won't go and see them though. Taxi fare is expensive. Shall wait till their July 9 concert. Tix collected already. Meanwhile, will try to catch them on TV. I think they are appearing on PSC Nite tomorrow. Must watch! Haiz. I want their new album but money has been spent on the tix so I don't think it's nice to ask Mummy to spend more money. I'll just forget it then.

Dolphin Bay ended two days ago. Finally! I liked the first half of the series but kinda draggy after that. Predictable ending. But I think they wasted too much time on the concert part esp with those irrelevant people who just wanna promote their songs using the drama. I just don't get it. Aegean Sea was OK. Dunno if I'll follow it. We'll see. But the scenery in Greece is nice.

Going to start night class soon. First week of school is almost over. Went through some changes in timetable. Now it's more or less confirmed. I have Wed and Thurs off. Rest of the week is quite packed. Hope I survive this semester.

Now I'll go on about what I really wanna talk about. Non-Energy fans can stop reading if they want. A-di has announced his impending departure from Energy. Kinda expected this to happen cos there have been lotsa rumours since April yet I've been praying that it won't happen. Alas, it still happened. More or less reconciled to the fact now. Though it's hard to accept, I respect and understand his decision. Firstly, his back injury has been bugging him since 2003 and it seems to be getting worse. He can't dance at all. He thinks that it's unfair to the rest of the members if his condition affects the progress of their work. Secondly, he wants to pursue his dream of working behind the scenes as a producer. I wish him all the best in his future endeavours. Hope he recovers soon and I pray that a miracle might happen and he might return to Energy someday.

As for the future of the band after his departure, I hope they can still remain strong even without him. It would be tough without a fantastic lead singer like him. Among the remaining three members, only Shuwei can sing really well. Let's hope for the best.

I really dunno why such a fantastic group can be so unlucky. They have faced numerous setbacks since their debut in 2002. All members have suffered from both minor and major injuries. Toro left the group in 2003. I think Energy is the only group to lose 2 members in a short span of 3 years. Now I just hope A-di will be present at their upcoming concert in July. I already booked the tix. Don't wanna get disappointed.

This should be my last entry during the hols. Starting school on Monday. Registered my modules just now. My PEM planned the timetable for me but it didn't work out cos some modules were already full. In the end, I got a strange timetable with Friday spent in school until 9.30pm! Aargh! Must consult my PEM again when school reopens. She's not free today. But I already emailed her.

Enough about that. Last night's AMI finale was great. I'm glad Carrie won. Bo was good too. I'm sure both of them will shine in the music industry. The show was not bad except for some lame segments esp "The Shocking Truth Behind Simon Cowell". But the cameo appearances by Constantine and William Hung were funny. Also enjoyed the Top 10 Worst Auditions and Top 3 Emotional Moments. In conclusion, AMI 4 was a joy to watch despite some controversial results. Can't wait for AMI 5 next year. And I'll also miss Ryan Seacrest. *swoons*

Mummy has already booked tix to Energy's concert. Hooray! Though it's way back at the terrace, it's still better than nothing. I'll bring my binoculars along. And I just heard their new song on YES 933 this morning. It's a fast song called Tian Yu Di(Heaven and Earth). Reminds me of one of my fave brands of green tea. Haha... It's not too bad. Sounds a bit Middle Eastern. Can't wait to hear the slow songs on the album.

Went to Sengkang on Sunday to attend Mummy's cousin's housewarming party. The house was quite nice. Heard that he spent a lot on the renovation. Haha... We had lunch there. The buffet was quite good. Had fried noodles with prawn, chicken and fish. The dessert was good too. My fave honeydew sago. Though I wished they sliced the honeydew into smaller pieces. Haha...

After that, we went on a brief LRT tour. It was quite fun. My first time on LRT. Then we went to Compass Point. Mummy bought two tops for herself at Metro. We browsed every level. Had dinner at the food court. I only had kaya toast cos I was still full. My parents had laksa. We left at 9pm.

As for today, tried to find out my modules for next semester so that I can get my PEM to help me in planning my timetable but the page just wouldn't load. Haiz.

Was visiting Raye's blog just now. She said that she was searching on Yahoo when she found her own blog. She clicked 'Translate' and they translated the blog into Chinese. So I tried with my blog. It was so funny. You can try it if you have nothing to do. Haha...

As expected, Bo and Carrie are advancing to the finale of AMI. To be fair, Vonzell is good but I guess Bo scored points for his 'realness'. And he did one song without any accompaniment which is no mean feat. I like Carrie's voice. She sounds nice on ballads. Mum thinks Bo will win. I'm not sure. I prefer Carrie's voice but I like Bo's unique style and stage presence. He might very well win the title. It would be interesting to see if a rock Idol can make it in the industry.

Chase is coming to an end soon. Hope Ellie chooses Gabriel over Chad. OK. I know I'm too engrossed in the plot. But why is the next episode postponed to the following week? Haiz. And it seems that the finale is split into two parts. So sickening! Can't they show everything at once? This is one of the very few English local dramas which I truly enjoy. And I like the song Save Me by Corrine May. Another great song by her after Journey. In case some of you don't know, this song was originally done by Corrine May. But it only became popular after Angela Chang covered it in Love At Dolphin Bay which I'm also following at the moment.

Went to Bugis Junction with Raye and Cloud on Friday. Was supposed to meet at 11.30am but I guess they were caught in a jam or something so they were 20 mins late.

Anyway, we had lunch at Terra first. I had fish and chips(cooked in batter). But it wasn't as good as the one at Swensen's. I still prefer bread crumbs. But I liked the chips and coleslaw. And it came with a bowl of soup.

After lunch, we started shopping. It was mostly window shopping. I only bought 2 bottles of nail polish from The Face Shop cos the salesgirl was so nice. She even helped me apply the nail polish. But I liked the pearl pink and the star glitter a lot. 2 bottles for $5. Still affordable so I bought them. Other than that, we just browsed around.

First level had nothing much. Mostly boutiques. But they went to a few shops to try on some clothes. Second level had all the beauty and cosmetics shops. That was where we bought the nail polish. Then we went to Watson's on the same level. We, or rather I, saw Quan Yifeng and her daughter there. She looked exactly the same as on TV. but wasn't as noisy. Haha...

Third level was fun. We went to Sembawang Music just to browse around. They sold a lot of China-imported CDs which were half the price of local ones. But we didn't buy. They were playing the Love At Dolphin Bay OST. The music was so loud that we could still hear it when we left the store. After that, we went to The Edge. But we only browsed the first few stores at the entrance. Then we went to Kinokuniya cos Raye wanted to find something. But in the end, they didn't have that book so we left without getting anything.

After that was the highlight of the outing. We went to Pretty In Tokyo to take neoprints! This time, we took sticker neoprints. I took the chance to act cute when posing for the shots. Haha... The pics turned out great. But I still dunno where to paste them so I just kept them in my wallet.

After taking neoprints, we sat down at Coffee Bean to distribute the pics and had drinks while waiting for my dad to meet me. He came at 7pm. After that, my pals left. Mummy came at 8pm. Then me and my folks went to the basement to get food. I was still full so I only had KFC burger. My parents bought food from the foodcourt. The taxi came at 9.40pm. Reached home at 10.10pm.

Really enjoyed myself that day. And Raye burned some songs for me. Haven't got time to listen yet. Looking forward to the next outing. And I missed the last episode of Beautiful Illusions(Jing Zhong Ren) that night. So if anyone reading this has watched it, can you pls tell me briefly what happened? Went to J8 with my parents yesterday. Had lunch at Swensen's. Shared fish and chips(my all-time fave Western dish) and breaded chicken with Mummy. We also had soup, tea and ice cream. It was a Mothers' Day special. The meal was great though the restaurant was kinda small.

Then we went shopping. I bought a dolphin bracelet and a pair of dolphin stud earrings from Perlini's. Mummy wanted to get me something and I didn't know what to pick so I took some time to decide on those two items. Maybe it's because I've been watching Love At Dolphin Bay. Haha... But it's really cute.

We also went to NTUC to get groceries. Oh yeah. We also saw the Most Beautiful Mum contest going on there yesterday. Didn't see clearly cos it was from far. But I saw May Phua. They were announcing the winner at that time.

Looking forward to the next outing. My Cedar pals have postponed Thursday's date cos Christine is not free. Hope to meet them soon.

Back to type this happy entry. Well, I guess 'relieved' would be a better word to describe how I feel now. Cos I passed all my modules! Yeah! Just checked my results. Though I just barely scraped through for some modules. At least I can finally stop worrying. Have been worrying since exams ended cos I had a bad feeling for some papers.

Still gotta do online registration 3 weeks later cos I failed a module previously so I gotta plan my own timetable. Well, at least I know I don't have to do any supp papers(cos I kinda dumped my books after exams ;p) or repeat any modules next semester. Must study much harder in Year 3 if I wanna graduate. I must graduate.

OK. Now that I have no more worries, shall start my crap again. Wonder who's gonna be out today. Yup. I'm talking about AMI. Last night's show wasn't that nice. This year's themes aren't very good. Prefer last year's themes. I think it should be either Scott or Anthony who will be out today. Though I'd prefer Scott to be out. I've never liked him right from the start. I bet he must have lotsa friends and family members who vote for him. I just don't see anything in him that fits the description of 'Idol'. I'd die laughing if he turns out to be the winner on May 26.

Anthony was disappointing. I admit he has never been very strong right from the start. But he has a nice voice. It's just that he keeps choosing the wrong songs. Choice of song is very crucial and a wrong choice of song has led to elimination of potential winners like Nadia. Mummy thinks that Anthony looks like Harry Potter. I agree with her. Maybe that's why I find him cute. Haha... Judging by the current situation, we might very well have a black female Idol again. Not that I have a problem with that. I like Vonzell. Quite consistent though Simon didn't like her performance last night. I personally prefer her to last year's winner Fantasia. Carrie is also a strong contender. Don't really like Bo's image but honestly, I think he has his own style and that's a good thing. But I don't think he will emerge the ultimate winner.

I wanna go out. Didn't go out over the long weekend as planned cos Mummy caught a cold. Might go out with her this weekend to celebrate Mothers' Day but nothing's confirmed yet. And my Cedar friends asked me if I wanna go out next Thursday. They wanna go to J8. Problem is that Mummy wants to go to J8 this weekend. I don't wanna go to the same place twice within days. So it's either of them.

And sorry about not joining you guys yesterday. Cos my skin is very sensitive to sunburns. Took ages to heal last time. Will surely go if you organise something indoors. Hope to meet up soon.

And one last thing, I'm one step closer to one of my wishes in my wishlist for this year. Mummy said she would get tix to Energy's concert on July 9! She's trying to see if she can get any discount. Haha... Really wanna go. Though I've seen them perform twice(mini-showcase at NYP and at S'pore Hit Awards) before. But this is a big-scale concert. And there are rumours that they are disbanding. I really hope it's just a rumour. They are such a fantastic group. But on the other hand, if they really wanna split, I'll respect their wishes. It's better to split while they are still at the peak rather than subside into oblivion like many other bands. Some bands are even worse. They disbanded even before achieving major success, like Comic Boyz.

Last night's AMI results were quite shocking. Although Constantine has never been my fave, I was still quite surprised that he got the lowest number of votes this week. After all, he's been a crowd favourite. Was hoping that Simon's words the night before would come true and Scott would have to 'pack his suitcase'(I'm quoting Simon's words). Never liked Scott at all. Hope he doesn't win the title.

Anthony was close to elimination yet again. What a close shave. Kinda like his voice and honestly, his looks. Haha... So I was kinda relieved that it was Constantine who got voted out instead of him. But judging by the voting situation, he seems to be in the bottom 3 quite often. Not a good sign. Vonzell shouldn't be in the bottom 3. Would like to see her in the grand finale with Carrie. Was initially hoping for a "Double C" finale i.e. Constantine and Carrie but it's not possible anymore. Don't really like Bo.

Going out with Mum on Sunday. Maybe going to J8. Haven't been there since the recent revamp so quite eager to see the changes. I'm bored at home.

Forced myself to stay up late last night to watch the repeat telecast of NKF Show. It started at 10.45pm and ended at close to 2.30am. It wasn't entirely due to Energy though. Cos I missed everything after their segment as Dad was watching soccer at that time. So I wanted to watch the repeat telecast. Felt quite sad for our local celebs. They did so much and some of them even sustained injuries yet they couldn't beat the donation figures from the first show where many foreign artistes only had to sing(some didn't even sing, they mimed their way through, even for ballads). I guess that's a harsh fact we can't deny. They had to appeal over and over again before the figure barely passed 1 million calls. But I'm proud of Energy. They stayed till the very end and kept appealing for donations.

Anyway, I totally love the song Yong Yuan Bu Shuo Zai Jian. It sounded even more touching last night. Maybe it's because it was very late at night and it was very quiet so I could listen to the lyrics without any distractions. Managed to find the lyrics just now and decided to post it here.

Well, I'm here to comment on last night's NKF show. Mainly about my darlings' performance. Haha... Yup. I'm talking about Energy.

I know it wasn't their best performance. Firstly, A-di's old back injury has been giving him problems again so he couldn't dance. Too bad. It's just not the same without him. The rest of them danced but it just seemed like something was missing. And they obviously had to mime cos the lead singer A-di didn't join them for that segment. Hope A-di will be well enough to dance again soon.

But they made it up with the segment where they wrote the donation hotline number while standing upside down. Milk did the best for that segment. Shuwei's '0' looked more like a cloud but it's forgivable cos he hurt his neck while practising for the stunt. Although it might seem like nothing compared to the other stunts done by Mediacorp artistes last night, I guess it's not that easy either. I can't even write that well under normal circumstances(My handwriting is atrocious. Haha....).

And I absolutely love the song Yong Yuan Bu Shuo Zai Jian. The lyrics are so meaningful. I initially thought they would sing Yi Zhi Dao Zui Hou. But it was nice anyway. I think it's an old song from their first album. And yes, this time they sang 'live'. But stupid Channel 8 cut the song abruptly towards the end to broadcast the news flash. Aargh!

Lastly, hope A-di and Shuwei will recover from their injuries soon. Hope they will release their new album soon. It's slated for a May or June release. I think they have finished recording it. And I strongly suggest that Shuwei should go for a haircut. I nearly mistook him for Kunda when they first appeared last night! Haha... And one last thing, I think they are gonna hold a concert here on July 9. I wanna go but I have no money. Haiz.

Finally back to blog. Exams have finally ended. Hoping for the best. Can finally take time off to rest and relax.

Looking forward to tonight's AMI results. Last night's show was cool. But I still don't like Scott Savol. Was hoping that he would get eliminated last week but alas, it was Nikko Smith who went home instead. Also don't like Bo Bice's performance last night. Carrie was disappointing too. She's a great singer but the song was horrible.

Have been following Channel U's new dramas. Namely Good Luck, Love At Dolphin Bay and Golden Faith. Interestingly, all three hail from different countries. Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong respectively. And they have different styles. I like them all. Actually wasn't too keen on Love At Dolphin Bay at first cos I thought all Taiwanese idol dramas were draggy and boring. But decided to follow it after watching the first episode which was quite touching. Angela Zhang can really act.

Also watched Turn Left, Turn Right 2 Sundays ago. I know it's kinda late to comment on it now but really love the movie. Though the ending was kinda dramatic. I almost cried towards the end. I guess such things really happen in real life but we might not be aware of it. Imagine being so close to that special someone but not having the chance to meet face-to-face. So sad right?

Will be at home for the rest of the week cos lessons have ended. Must make full use of this week to prepare for exams. This should be my last entry until after exams.

Did Entrepreneurship presentation yesterday. Quite scared. Hope I did OK. Just hope to pass. Anyway it's over and done. Just wanna do well for exams next week and the following week.

Also waiting for the attachment list to be out so that I will know if I'm down for attachment or project. If it's attachment then my holidays would be gone. Quite scared. I'm afraid I'll make a fool of myself outside school. It's a totally different environment. But I guess it should be quite fun too. Anyway, the list was supposed to be out last Thursday but I'm still waiting. The school is always so slow. Haha...

And I miss my pals. Both from Peirce and Cedar. But it seems our holidays clash. Dunno if we can meet after exams. We'll see.

Back to blog. Still in ELP but leaving soon to have lunch and study for tomorrow's P&C Common Test. Still have night class today. Luckily tomorrow's test is in the afternoon so I still have time to study after submitting Sem Project. Must do well for the test cos I don't think I did my project well. Really need my test grades to pull up my score.

I got into Web-based Services for my Year 3 specialization. Not sure if I wanna appeal. Cos I'm not good in programming. But it should be useful for future career options. Wanted to get into Interactive Media. I dunno. Take one step at a time.

Studies aside, really looking forward to the new programme line-up on Channel U. Most anticipated show would be Good Luck starring Takuya Kimura! Haven't watched his dramas for at least 2 and 1/2 years. Not a big fan of his but his dramas are all very nice(at least those I've watched). I even watched Beautiful Life twice. Hope our local channels would show more Jap dramas(and at primetime slots please) and less Korean dramas. Maybe it's a matter of personal taste but I dunno why Korean dramas are so popular nowadays. It seems that all K-dramas are so depressing and wishy-washy. I only watched Winter Sonata. The plot was fine but too draggy. J-dramas are short and sweet. Most of them have at most 12 or 13 episodes. The plots are mostly light-hearted and most stories end happily(the only exceptions I can recall are Beautiful Life and Precious Time, both ended with the female leads dying). I began to watch J-dramas 5 years ago. Was attracted by the refreshing acting skills and fast pace. Hopefully the telecast of Good Luck would start a new wave of J-drama craze and our local channels would bring in more J-dramas. By the way, Good Luck premieres on Channel U on April 4, 7.30pm.

Feeling better today after a good night's rest. But had indigestion last night after late dinner. That always happens when I'm too hungry before dinner then after I gobble down my food, I get indigestion. But I'm OK now.

Good news is that I've cleared my projects(except Sem Pro report). From now on, I shall concentrate on studying for exams.

So the 12 finalists of AMI are out already. Quite happy with most of them except Mikalah and Scott. Not that they are lousy(this year's crop is the best so far) but I think there are better contestants who didn't get in. Anyway, looking forward to the finals. Would definitely be exciting with so many talented singers.

Watched the TV premiere of Chase last night too. Must admit that it was mainly due to Utt. I mean, he's so cute! Haha... But the show was cool. Interesting supporting characters and dialogue. Would definitely watch every episode if I can. Utt's geek look was so funny. Linda was alright. Waiting for further plot developments. Was already intrigued when I saw the trailer. Rare gem for a local production.

Trying to do my P&C project but can't find info. Haiz. And I'm using Mozilla browser cos IE keeps giving me problems. OK. Gotta go.

P&C Common Test date and time not confirmed yet. I'm glad I have almost one week after Internet Programming exam to prepare for Maths and Networking exams. About one more month to prepare. Hope I do well this time. But first, must get rid of those stupid projects first. Aargh! There's Networking lab test later. Must revise some more later. Looking forward to holidays next month.

My projects are almost completed. Teacher cut down on requirements for ASP project. As for Sem Project, got some tips from Cheng Pei. Now only have to worry about P & C. Due the following week. Must do presentation too. Haiz.

I'm at ELP now. Meeting my friends later at 1.30pm to discuss about Entreprenership project. Supposed to present next week. I guess we kinda procrastinated too much. Just hope we can do our best before the deadline.

Selected my specialization for Year 3 already. I chose Interactive Media, Hope I get it and hope I made the right choice.

Been thinking of changing my blogskin. But I dunno what to choose. The current one is quite nice. Should I change?

Last night was bad. Had stomache after dinner, Probably indigestion. Felt better after applying medicated oil.

It's already Week 11 and my projects are still incomplete. Must get them done soon by hook or by crook or else I'll be in trouble. Stressed.

I'm here to vent my frustrations. I dunno what's wrong with me. Been feeling moody and irritable for the past 2 days. Probably just irritated by some pest. Just hope I'll be OK soon.

Haiz. Mum wants me to cut down on Internet usage cos the previous bill was quite high. OK then. Shall use it in school. Besides, my home PC is very cranky.

The weather isn't doing much to make me feel better. So hot. I tend to get agitated when it's hot. At least it rained a few days ago. If this goes on, there'll be even more bush fires. And we need rain to reduce the haze caused by forest fires in our neighbouring countries.

OK. Shall stop my grouses now. Half an hour more to 933 charts show.

I'm back! Common Tests are finally over. Hoping for the best. Meanwhile shall concentrate on projects.

Watched AMI last night and the night before. Must say it was a tough competition cos most of the contestants this year are great. Quite happy about the new format. It's better than the previous groups of 8 cos last year, some groups had all the good singers and some had lousy ones so it was kinda unfair. The new elimination process is better. But I must say the producers were kinda cruel to Judd Harris who was the 2nd guy to be eliminated last night. I know they wanted to create suspense but still, they shouldn't have done that. Don't really agree with the results but anyway, it's up to America to decide. And most of this year's contestants are quite good-looking huh? Haha...

Back to blog. Still gotta revise for tomorrow's Maths test. Networking test on Thursday. Lab test two weeks later and several projects incomplete. Next few weeks would be filled with work, work and more work!

Actually I dunno what to write. Just feel like blogging. Nothing interesting has happened in the past week.

Just here to vent my frustrations. Actually I'm just mad at my computer. I think there's some virus again and I can't read or reply my mails and when I log into Friendster, the screen keeps blinking and I can't go any further. Aargh! And there's a new friend request from someone but I can't approve it due to my stupid computer. I can read my mails in school but I can't access Friendster in school! Haiz. I dunno what to do. I need a new computer! My parents keep putting it off.

Looks like I can't do anything. Too bad. Haiz. Supposed to be off this Wednesday but must go back for briefing on Year 3 specialization. And still must revise for next week's common tests.

OK. Enough of venting. Happy Valentine's Day! Good for those who are happily attached. For singletons like me, have a nice day anyway.

Back to blog. Happy CNY! As usual, it was the same old thing. Had buffet at York Hotel on CNY Eve for reunion dinner. The food was OK but couldn't stand the music. They played Hokkien CNY songs. Haha...

Then on first day of CNY, woke up early to go to church. After church, had early lunch at food court with my mum's relatives. After lunch, everyone went to my mum's uncle's place. They played mahjong while I just sat there and watched TV. Almost fell asleep cos there was nothing nice on TV. No cable TV there. The best was S.H.E's TV special but I already watched that on cable 2 nights before. Haiz. Had to watch it again since nothing else to watch.

After that, went to my paternal granny's place. Gambled a bit with my cousins. Played Blackjack. Lost a bit but never mind. It's the fun that matters. Caught up with my cousins but nothing much to chat about. Sad right? We only see each other several times a year so we are not so close. Everyone's grown up now. Miss the good old times when we were kids. We were really close then. Everyone's busy now. My closest male cousin is in NS now. Time flies.

Went home at midnight. Slept until very late the second day. Stayed at home yesterday. Too tired to go anywhere. Luckily, there were nice TV programmes like Mulan to entertain me. Really nice movie. Haven't seen it before. Like the dragon. And the songs are nice too.

Haiz. The Internet is cranky today. Cannot log in to Friendster and cannot open my mail. Aargh! Hope this post gets through.

Back to blog. Haiz. At last I found Kunda's song, thanks to QQ's suggestion that I go to www.baidu.com. Guess what's the problem now? I can't put it on my blog cos iWebMusic.com can only play .wma files. So I can't upload the MP3 and can't play the song on my blog. And my computer began to lag and hang when I was at iWebMusic so I gave up eventually. Never mind. Will think of something else. Anyway, I'm happy with the current song on my blog. Ocean's Xiu Xiu Xiu. Nice right? Haha...

CNY in a few days' time. So fast. Actually every year is the same. But it's good to have some fun and relaxation after several weeks' of studying. Must resume studying after that cos Common Tests coming in 3 weeks' time. Next week is term break then go back to school for normal lessons the following week. After that would be Common Test week.

Haiz... It's only 10.27am in the morning and I have a bad feeling about the whole day already. Couldn't sleep well last night and woke up feeling very moody. Guess it's just mood swing. Haven't felt like that for a while. I guess it happens once in a while. And the fact that I've got lessons until 9.30pm tonight doesn't help at all. Aargh!

Gotta do research on my project after blogging. Still thinking of ideas. Must think as I do research. Luckily it's only a 2 page report. And I dunno how am I gonna print it out when I finish cos my home printer always 'throws tantrums'. Haiz. I guess it's as tempremental as myself. Haha...

Seems that everyone has the same problem as me when it comes to projects. That's my conclusion after talking to my classmates and blog-reading. Leave everything to the last minute then worry as the deadline approaches. Must try to kick that bad habit.

On a brighter note, I finally bought my CNY clothes on Sunday. Went to Taka cos my dad had vouchers from his company. I got a grey dress, a pink OP cardigan and a cute pink OP tote bag. So at least that's one problem solved. And the good news is that the school decided to postpone the common tests. So we still have one more week to study after CNY week. That's much better.

OK. Enough of venting already. Must get back to work. Must finish it soon then go have lunch before lessons start at 3 pm.

Finally finished Phase 1 of my Internet Programming project this morning. So now I have one less worry. 2 more projects left. Can do them at home tomorrow cos I don't have school. Meanwhile, still got night class later. Haiz.

Does anyone know where to download Kunda's Tian Kong Mei You Xia Yu? It's a very nice song. Much better than expected. Won't say he has excellent vocals but he can certainly carry a tune. The melody of the song is nice too. Good solo effort. Energy came to town over the weekend for a short trip. Didn't go and see them. They only had two events - HippoTours and zoo trip. This trip was a make-up for their absence last Dec. Heard their interview on 933 last Sunday. They are in the midst of preparing for their new album which should be out in April. Can't wait to hear their new songs. And they also went to Medan, Indonesia last week for a charity concert in aid of the tsunami victims. They also visited the affected areas. Before the trip, they appealed to their fans to donate money and supplies to the victims.

OK. Enough about Energy. Gonna get my CNY clothes this weekend. Supposed to go last weekend but Mummy had housework to do. Hope to find something nice to wear.

I guess I've recovered from fever. After 2 1/2 days, I'm finally back to normal. Started to recover yesterday. Time to start work on my projects again. Haiz. Kinda worried. I missed class on Thursday cos was really sick. Worried that I can't catch up. Must get notes from my pals.

The 2 1/2 days were torturous though it might be a good excuse to laze around. Didn't have appetite, felt drowsy due to medication, didn't want to do anything except laze around. I don't like being sick.

Anyway, got some comments on AMI 4. It's as funny as usual but somehow feel that the judges weren't fair to some people. Esp the triplets on last night's episode. They should have given each of them a chance to sing solo then judge based on their solo effort. And it's definitely not right to judge them based on their weight. In the first place, I don't think they are that fat. Just a little plump. Voluptuous would sound better. And didn't you all notice that there were many other female contestants who were even bigger? I'm sure some of them got in. So why judge the triplets based on weight? Though I don't like their song of choice, I think they did it quite well. Can definitely make it as a group. Just think it's so unfair. Haiz. Dunno what the judges were thinking.

Anyway, looking forward to future episodes of AMI 4. Heard there would be some new twists to the elimination process. And Ryan Seacrest is still oh-so-cute! Haha...
